Seriously though, in many African countries, where men have all the power, and use it to commit genocide, rape, female mutilation, and complete subservience of women...well...then yes, I think the women there ARE smarter than men, because the men are obviously disgustingly ignorant.

I agree with the fact though if men in the public eye make statements like that it would destroy their career. Even in fun it would not go unnoticed. I am proud of the country I live, but some of the things we have become aren't a good thing.

Women and men have different roles to play. I would not say that either men or women as a whole are smarter or better than one or the other. I believe men and women have different roles to play. A father cannot play mother to a child as well as a woman can. Yet, a woman may not be able to defend her home, or do physical labor as well as a man can. Men and women's bodes are not designed to do the same things. We are different, with different roles, and yet, we complement each other. When men and women begin to realize this, instead of trying to prove that we are "smarter" than the other sex... there will be more harmony, love and beauty in our world.

Indeed the media, and society in general does not want to admit that the roles of both men and women can be both different, and yet complementing. How can you change the mindset of several generations now to comprehend this concept?

Why not just say: If a male leader said that men were smarter than women. Do you really think it would matter if he was republican or democrat?
