NSA Posed as Facebook to Infect Computers with Malware

In case anyone thought we knew everything about the NSA spying scandal, once again, we have new information about how the government has worked its way into our homes. According to a new report out yesterday, the National Security Agency has been using automated systems to infect computers with malware since 2010. And at times it even pretended to be Facebook in order to perform this installation.

I know a lot of people who were doing that as well. And they were talking about the televisions with the capability to see inside our homes.

Remember the story of the baby monitor where someone hacked into it and started yelling at the baby that was asleep. Just creepy.

It is amazing to me with all the technology that the NSA seems to have, and yet, (to change topics a bit) they cannot find the missing Malaysia airplane.

We have taped over our webcams on our computers as well, hoping that works. I dunno. Better than just leaving it wide open for anyone to get into, I guess.

I am understanding that they are giving the media information while not compromising their investigation. So, even though the media may not be aware, I am sure our government knows what is going on.

I have never liked FB. I have never met more nosy, gossipy and intrusive people in my life than I have on FB or people who post there. And they carry that into their personal lives - nosy. I can't stand nosy people.

Our family chose long ago to stay off facebook. We have never regretted it. Indeed, PO... nosy people, plus all the unnecessary info that gets posted on FB is not worth our time.

Yes, lots of unnecessary info posts. I'm not the type of person that would keep a journal, so I guess that is why social media, like FB, doesn't appeal to me. My closest friends and family call, text or email me. Yesterday, my SIL sent me pictures of my grandson on a scooter he is much to small for, but that's a dad for ya. LOL!
