Platform Standards
To me they are bogus. The word of YHWH is the only standard. Modern ministers seem to have invented them to have an excuse to criticize beards on men. Since the scriptures speak favorably of men having them they had to create a way to get around them.
By inventing "platform standards" they can successfully shame men into cutting their beards.

I agree. There should be no difference. It is just a way to divide the Clergy from the laity. (Where did the word 'laity' come from?)

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

No it is exposing the hypocrisy of Apostolic and other Ministers. Trying to make saints who have done nothing wrong less than holy on the basis of wearing a beard..
They pretend their clean shaven look is more holy than the beard.
Rather than a rant it is a teaching moment.

yes as I said, this is about BEARDS...You are upset because some church you don't belong to teaches against men having facial hair on the platform?

If a local church, Apostolic to catholic decide on a "platform standard" what business is it of mine? If one doesn't want to abide, then leave. Oh I forgot, you already did that.

Yea we can invent our own doctrines and then say how evil the Catholics and Protestants are for inventing theirs!

I've never heard "platform standards" preached as DOCTRINE. The times I even heard it mentioned it was always presented as a preference.

Oh really? Do the Apostolic Preachers say it is OUR preference or THEIR preference? If it is THEIR preference and they say you cannot have a beard on THEIR platform then who is Lord in that Church since YHWH speaks favorably of them?
