We Can't Default On Our Loans
The monthly interest payment on our national debt is $18 billion. Our federal government takes in $220 billion a month in taxes. The law requires the fed to pay the interest on our debt before anything else. "The law requires" is a relative term to this White House I know, but nevertheless this is the case. Defaulting on our debts is a lie. It's not going to happen.

"The law requires" is only fudged on when it pertains to our personal freedoms.

Re: We Can't Default On Our Loans
My Congressman, David Schweikert, has been on this the past few days. Saw him again on CNN last night, correcting the host on the issue of what default really means and that we have plenty to pay the interest and will continue to pay interest even if we do not raise the debt ceiling.
There will NOT be a default. I wish the idiots in the msm would tell the truth and help educate people, instead of propagating lies and dumbing down the electorate. But that's what helps make people vote for Democrats.

Re: We Can't Default On Our Loans
I love this! Moody's sent out a memo today refuting obama and the Spite House's claim that not raising the debt ceiling would be catastrophic and cause us to default on our loans.
Quote:
” We believe the government would continue to pay interest and principal on its debt even in the event that the debt limit is not raised, leaving its creditworthiness intact,” the memo says. “The debt limit restricts government expenditures to the amount of its incoming revenues; it does not prohibit the government from servicing its debt. There is no direct connection between the debt limit (actually the exhaustion of the Treasury’s extraordinary measures to raise funds) and a default.

BOOM!
I wish the lame stream media would report the truth about this.

Please cite the article in the Constitution where the president has power to spend the money.
