Pentecost Sunday-2 Styles, 2 Women, Same Result

Well, the other day I asked the question about folks missing those Holy Ghost moves in your service where God just shows up as HE did in that TBN video. I felt some sincere responses to my question. I then stated that I don't ever want to miss out on those types of moves of God.

Pentecost Sunday brought 2 of these services to Capital Community Church.

The way it happened were complete opposite. In the AM at the end of song-service, a new song was sung. It's been around for a while now but it is new to us. It's by a group called, "Pocket Full Of Rocks" and the song title is, 'More Of You Jesus"

I've touched the hem of His garment
And I've felt the leading of His hand
But today, my eyes look much higher
To see the face of The Great I AM

More of You Jesus
More of Your face
More of Your Glory, in this place
More of You Jesus
More of Your face
More of Your Glory, in this place

A new convert who got saved one year ago to the day and has brought her 2 wonderful girls into the fold as well walked out of her pew and to the front and shouted herself silly through this slow tender song....the place broke up!
Pastor took the mic and in 2 minutes finished his series on "Some Assembly Required" which dealt with patience...not the way we define it, but to not give up, and continuing the Battle. The altars were swarmed and at least 4-5 tongues were given and I know of 2 miracles-1 physical 1 marriage.

It was an amazing experience in the morning...God wasn't finished.

In the evening we ramped up the music somewhat (although in the AM we did "Everyday" by Hillsong, hehe) and after about 20-25 minutes of praise and worship and a quick announcement, our drama sign team signed the song by Kurt Carr, "The Presence Of The Lord Is Here" and the charge this time was not by a new convert...nope...one of our seniors who has walked with the Lord for ages ran to the front and lost it...looked foolish...it broke! this time, Black Gospel style complete with screaming Hammond, our only black guy slamming the drums, and dance, dance, dance everywhere...don't say this was a "style" type of worship cuz we are in Atlantic Canada, ain't no black folk up here! Associate pastor calmed us down for about 15 minutes as he spoke on "The Sewer or the Spectacular" (His two children had 2 different reactions to Niagra falls, the girl stood in amazement at the waterfall, his young fella was consumed with the manhole grate of the sewer and the sewage flowing by...literally yards from the Falls) He asked what are we focused on? The place fell apart again and folks got the Holy Ghost for the first time, as well as the girl that my wife and I have been working on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 different styles, 2 different women, 1 result, a Holy Ghost smackdown...ain't God good? All the time!

James 2
12 So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free. 13 For there will be no mercy for you if you have not been merciful to others. But if you have been merciful, then God's mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you.

All I have to add to MM's account of the day is that it was amazing. There are no other words to describe it. The new convert lady he spoke of was even used in the Gifts of the Spirit in an amazing way. It wonderful to know that God still is on the throne and that miracles and wonders still happen in this day and age!! God is good all the time..Alll the time God is good!!
