Lois Lerner, Center of IRS scandal, Resigns!

If you remember, the IRS scandal was really centered around one Lois Lerner. She had similar issues in her time with the FTC where she targeted religious and conservative groups. Last week emails were released showing that she absolutely lied and did in fact know about the targeting before she said she did.

Today, after being on paid leave since May, Lois Lerner has resigned from the IRS.

The Internal Revenue Service said Monday that Lois G. Lerner, the woman at the center of the tea party targeting scandal, has resigned from the agency — though because of privacy rules it could say nothing more.

She remains subject to congressional investigation.

“Just because Lois Lerner is retiring from the IRS does not mean the investigation is over. Far from it,” said Sen. Orrin G. Hatch of Utah, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee. “In fact, there are many serious, unanswered questions that must be addressed so we can get to the truth.”

Watch, Lerner is going to end up somewhere else in Obama's administration; this isn't the last we've seen of this woman.

You're probably right. A good liar is hard to find..... well maybe not. But Obama probably needs her to help him keep up the "dodging" of the truth.

Actually she isn't a good liar. No one in this administration is (OK, with the possible exception of Hillary and Bill). The only reason they get away with saying virtually anything is that they are never challenged.

What if there are Republicans in DC who have known for months that she is the main culprit-- they have been trying to muddy this whole thing up for the sake of muddying it up?

Regardless, I am glad that the person(s) involved are being held accountable.

No, she won't become a part of the Obama Administration. Gosh!

They have known she's the main culprit and they tried making her testify, but so far she's avoided it; what with the Benghazi hearings, Syria issue and the summer recess. They know she's the problem; they haven't been muddying it up. They've had their eyes on her since she appeared at the hearing and claimed her 5th amendment rights, which were nullified by the fact that she made opening statements claiming her innocence before stating she was claiming her 5th amendment right.

This isn't being held accountable. If Fast and Furious and Benghazi are any indication, Lerner will end up somewhere else in the administration getting a better salary. You scoff at the idea, but check it out for yourself -- the main players in both F&F and Benghazi "retired" or "resigned" before being put somewhere else in Obama's administration.

Shady.
