Had wonderful 3 days meeting here in Ceara...The church was strengethened. Had a wonderful service about missions. They have been taking up their offerings for missions for almost a year now. They proudly gave me to pass on to missions 55 real in their money. (about 26 dollars)...It was so precious because one year ago I talked to them how no matter how poor we are and believe me this area is very poor...however we must give to others as a thank you to the Lord for sending someone to them. It was so cute. They had me to sign the receipt for their books. I acted real business like and signed...but went outside and wept because in their deep poverty they had given to me to pass on to someone else in greater need. Oh, the spirit of missions!
Brother Alvear told them some stories about missionaries and I also told them about Paul the man that walked away from everything to become a missionary. I would not be surprized if someday that little church turns out a missionary! (Ceara is far north Brazil)
