SCHOOL: Black student sent racist texts to himself

The black St. Peter’s Prep student who purportedly received racist text messages warning him to drop out of the Jersey City high school's student government election sent the texts to himself, a school official confirmed last week.

“The entire Saint Peter's Prep community is relieved that this extremely distressing incident has found closure, and we commend the various law enforcement officials for their diligent work on this case over the past months,” said school spokesman James Horan, who confirmed the result of the probe after its disclosure by a police source.

The 16-year-old was running for president for the Student Council in May when he supposedly received four hateful text messages. He brought them to the attention of school officials who called in his father and police.

The 16-year-old eventually lost the race for student council president but was elected vice president. A source said he no longer attends the school.

In an interview with The Jersey Journal at the time the texts were sent, the boy’s father said his son was “extremely nervous and feels threatened” and did not want to be interviewed.

"He is the type of boy who does not want any kind of trouble," the father said. "It's so sad. He doesn't want the image of the school to be tainted."

"It is a predominantly white school and there may be a few sections of the school who are fearful of a new face trying to get in office,” the father said at the time.

Of course the father isn't responding to requests for a follow up interview. Coward. This kid should be named and shamed. And, if police were looking to charge someone with a hate crime, they should charge this kid and sue the parents for the money spent on this investigation.

On the up side for the racist kid, he's got a bright future in the Democratic party. They love playing up the race card during campaigns.

There have been a couple separate incidents with LGBT couples claiming threats were made against them, only to find out it was the couples themselves fabricating the threats.

One involved a threat painted on a garage door. I don't recall what the other was about. But both were made up lies to try and get sympathy and attention.

IMO, this is why some were skeptical when the couple with the autistic child posted the letter from an anonymous person complaining about the child.

You almost have to be skeptical when hearing these kinds of accusations until hard evidence is found supporting the claims.

It's used by all types of people...well straights don't usually lie about a gay person beating them up because the were straight...

But White woman claims black man took her child...turns out she lied.

Black kid lies about receiving racist texts.

Racism is the new "Wolf"...except for now everyone is buying it. It cheapens the REAL battle against REAL racism and creates a double standard where it's OK to be black and hate whites...

In 1995 a black Pentecostal Church, the United House of Prayer, which owned a retail property on 125th Street, asked Fred Harari, a Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart, to evict his longtime subtenant, a black-owned record store called The Record Shack. Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the planned eviction of The Record Shack.[37][38][39] Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."[40]
On December 8, 1995 Roland J. Smith Jr., one of the protesters, entered Harari's store with a gun and flammable liquid, shot several customers and set the store on fire. The gunman fatally shot himself, and seven store employees died of smoke inhalation.[41][42] Fire Department officials discovered that the store's sprinkler had been shut down, in violation of the local fire code.[43] Sharpton claimed that the perpetrator was an open critic of himself and his nonviolent tactics. Sharpton later expressed regret for making the racial remark, "white interloper," and denied responsibility for inflaming or provoking the violence.[15][44]
