Happy Birthday, Mr. Prez....looks like AQ's not quite on the run as you boasted last year.

Obama's October 11, 2012 statement should be remembered like Bush's "Mission accomplished" statement. Both were done in arrogance and pride. Both were incredibly false.

I am glad that, this time, the Obama administration and State Department actually listened to the warnings and closed the Embassies; though who knows if it was a real threat or just wag the dog.

I doubt it is a real threat. Something else is going on behind the scenes that we will have to wait and see what the real situation is ... and time will no doubt tell what it is soon enough...

I kind of think this whole embassy closure is like the weatherman predicting a storm coming, and then... the storm never comes. But... the storm that really hurts and destroys, is one that the weatherman never predicted.

I find it odd that CNN comes out with an article that proves the CIA had over two dozen assets on the ground in Libya the day the embassy was attacked, and that there was indeed an arms-running operation going on by the Obama administration....

Then suddenly, hours later, the State department takes over the headlines by issuing an "unprecedented" closure of numerous embassies.

It's wag the dog. Instead of the Sunday news shows talking about the CNN report, CIA in Libya and the arms-running op, people were talking about embassy closures and how this threat "proves" we need the 4th amendment busting spying on American citizens. (Though, to be clear, the NSA op had NOTHING to do with finding out about this threat.)

Kudo's to Obama....he knows how to manipulate the media.
