From Peggy Noonan, who endorsed Obama for President, comes a scathing article about the IRS scandal and details about one couple's chilling encounter with the IRS FBI ATF and OSHA.

The most important IRS story came not from the hearings but from Mike Huckabee's program on Fox News Channel. He interviewed and told the story of Catherine Engelbrecht—a nice woman, a citizen, an American. She and her husband live in Richmond, Texas. They have a small manufacturing business. In the past few years she became interested in public policy and founded two groups, King Street Patriots, and True the Vote.

In July 2010 she sent applications to the IRS for tax-exempt status. What followed was not the harassment, intrusiveness and delay we're now used to hearing of. The US government came down on her with full force.

In December 2010 the FBI came to ask about a person who'd attended a King Street Patriots function. In January 2011 the FBI had more questions.

The same month the IRS audited her business tax returns.

In May 2011 the FBI called again for a general inquiry about King Street Patriots.

In June 2011 Engelbrecht's personal tax returns were audited and the FBI called again.

In October 2011 a round of questions on True the Vote.

In November 2011 another call from the FBI.

The next month, more questions from the FBI.

In February 2012 a third round of IRS questions on True the Vote.

In February 2012 a first round of questions on King Street Patriots.

The same month the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms did an unscheduled audit of her business. (It had a license to make firearms but didn't make them.)

In July 2012 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration did an unscheduled audit.

In November 2012 more IRS questions on True the Vote.

In March 2013, more questions.

In April 2013 a second ATF audit.

This is serious stuff. This is not coincidence.

Do you have any kind of source to back up your claim? Or are you like Light and just make wild claims against conservatives with nothing to back it up.

Show me one source, and not MSNBC who is more partisan than FoxNews. Show me one news article in which True the Vote is shown to have sent people to minority poll stations to intimidate voters.

Show me. You make the claim, you back it up with sources. Otherwise you're just a partisan hack like Light.

Voter integrity has always been an issue in America. If you’ve seen the movie Gangs of New York, set in the 1860s in New York City, there are scenes of the Irishmen voting, then having their hair cut to alter their appearance so that they can be sent back to vote again. In recent times, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has been charged with voter fraud. In 2008, the bipartisan Elections Board of Lake County, Indiana, actually stopped processing a stack of about 5,000 applications delivered by ACORN just before the October 6 registration deadline after the first 2,100 turned out to be phony. And of course there was the famous incident in Nevada where authorities raided ACORN headquarters on October 7, 2008, after a month-long investigation. Some of the fraudulent voter registrations seized included the Dallas Cowboys’ starting lineup.

That same year in Houston, Harris County tax assessor Paul Bettencourt found that nearly 10,000 of the 30,000 forms turned in by ACORN were invalid. All of this behavior led to questions about the integrity of our electoral process.

But the real “what-to-do” dawned on Engelbrecht in the fall of 2009. There was a need for people to work at the polls, so she and 20 others decided to volunteer as alternate judges and clerks. The experience was an eye-opener. “When we worked, we saw big problems. Not only were polls run like the typical government agency, inefficient and confusing, they were also very vulnerable to fraud, which we saw time and again,” she says. “There were people being allowed to vote without showing any identification, people who’d say ‘I don’t know who to vote for,’ at which point an election judge would jump up, escort them to the voting booth, dial in the vote, and tell the voter to ‘press here.’  ”

We know that there were a lot of problems with Obama's group - ACORN and voter fraud. It's been well documented. So this lady decided to form a group to help combat the fraud. The group has been working to purge voter rolls of people who are deceased. SOURCE LINK

I can heard DM now: "Oh the horror! How dare this group try to keep people from using a dead person's identity to vote! Dead people have rights, too!"

Here's their mission statement:

True the Vote is an initiative developed by citizens for citizens, meant to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process. We promote ideas that actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation.

We are working to restore integrity to the American system of electing its leaders. With True the Vote, we have, "deconstructed the entire process, focusing on educating voters, examining the registry, recruiting, training and mobilizing election workers and poll watchers, training how to collect data all along the way, then use the data to shape government action and legislative agendas to support desperately needed election code reform."

It's important to note, DM, that even with the might of the Obama campaign-led IRS FBI ATF OSHA assault...NOTHING was found to incriminate or accuse True the Vote!

But you made a claim, and I want you to source it or retract it. I'm tired of you and Light making wild statements without any source to back it up. Show us where True the Vote was shown to be intimidating minority voters. This backhanded attempt at labeling them as racist is insulting, and must be backed by facts or retracted.

Here's more reason why True the Vote is needed.

Melowese Richardson, the Cincinnati poll worker who admitted to voting multiple times, and has now been charged with six counts of multiple voting in 2012, plus some charges from previous years

Two other people were charged with multiple voting alongside Richardson… one of them a nun, Sister Marguerite Kloos, who resigned as Dean of the Division of Arts and Humanities at Mount St. Joseph’s and entered a guilty plea to avoid indictment. Sister Kloos voted in the name of a nun who died before the absentee ballots went out. She took pains to forge the dead nun’s signature. An elderly man named Russell Glassop did the same thing with his late wife’s ballot. And according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, “some questions linger about 50 people who cast an absentee ballot and then voted on a provisional ballot.”

Jim Turner wrote on Facebook that he had voted at least four times in four different precincts and intends to vote a fifth time at his home precinct in Pine Knoll Shores.

"I have voted once in Beaufort, once in Henderson, twice in Emerald Isle and will vote in my precinct in PKS," he reportedly wrote on a friend's Facebook page. "I will do whatever it takes to save our country from the world envisioned by Mitt and his fear mongering followers," he added.

Intimidating them so they will not vote?

Right now, Congressman Jordan is ripping Mueller on the IRS scandal.

He asked what updates the FBI can give - Mueller didn't know.
He asked who the lead investigator is - Mueller doesn't know.
He asked how many the FBI has involved in the investigation - Mueller doesn't know.
He asked if the FBI visited any of the victims (tea party/conservative groups) - Mueller didn't believe so.
He asked for Mueller to rethink because claims were made by True the Vote that the FBI came to their home to ask them questions - Mueller didn't know.

Mueller should retire. One thing I've learned watching these hearings ... these spooks can't be trusted. Clapper, Mueller, and their subordinates are all shady.
