A Great Illustration for Young People Concerning Sin and Repentence/Forgiveness..

Usually once or twice a year I am asked to speak at a local christian/Nazarene High School. This is one of the illustrations I did that
worked well....

You can use 3 or 4 volunteers..

Purchase 8 White T-shirts Sm/Md/Lg
1 Contractor Black Garbage Bags
Oreos (Crushed)
Eggs (raw)
Mustard
Ketchup
Anything slimy and sprayable that's safe..
A LARGE DROP CLOTH IT WILL GET A BIT MESSY...

The object is what sin does to your life..

Have the four chosen taken into another room and have them put on a t-shirt (over their Cloths).. then cut a place for arms and neck in the black garbage bag and put it on over the t-shirt...

Then on top of that put another white t-shirt on... They will have this configeration t-shirt/Garbage Bad/T-shirt

Bring them out on the drop cloth have then kneel (cover their legs with mor garbage bags ) and begin to talk about what sin does to their life and how it stains them... and began to

Spray them with the mustard/ketchup/steak sause/ Raw Eggs and then start applying the dirt (Oreos) of sin... to the white t-shirts.. until they are a mess...

when you start talking about repentence and forgiveness... you then walk behind each of them and take a pair of scizzors and begin to cut the the outside t-shirt and the garbage bag off from behind..(take care not to cut the first White T-shirt). and underneath of course is the t-shirt white... free from sin..

It's a great lesson...

Not much of an oppurtunity too... the best hope is that there is a seed planted that will grow in their heart...

Then how do they and the organization they represent have the right to prevent you from using a TV ad or program to plant seed that way?

If the results are the same, No follow up and there's simply a hope that a seed is planted, then what's the difference?
