Joining Local Masonic Lodge

I was invited.
I'm thinking about doing it.
Why shouldn't I?
What are the Christian concepts against such a decision?

If you claim to be a Christian which means that you are walking in the light as He ( Jesus) is in the 1 John 1:7 this makes joining a problem because you must admit you are in darkness and seeking light. You are therefore rejecting Jesus right off. Also once you reach the higher orders of the masonic lodge you are informed that the true name of god is baphometh(check spelling) this was an ancient god of fertility. You also must accept other gods as equal.

How do you know this?
I can be a Christian and be a Mason too, right?

Read kingdom of the cults it tells about the oaths you take and the true nature of the masons. Also read a book by BEVERLY CARRADINE (a buy from the eighteen hundreds) titled secret societies.

No if you must sent the light of God and accept other gods as equal and recognize pagan gods as the one true God then no you cannot be a mason and a Christian!!!!!

Our first Pastor (in the early 70's) told my husband
when he was considering joining, that if a group had
to be that secretive that he would think it not wise
to join. Thankfully, he took Pastor's advice and did
not join.
