I like a few of their songs... but I can't say that I would recommend them. Not saying they're bad... but you know how people react on this forum. Anyway, you can read about them here:

Their reputation is certainly rock. Not just rock, but wierd acid rock. The kind that some of us (before salvation) used to listen when we were stoned out of our goards!!!

One of the original band member committed suicide due to some serious mental problems. I think he listended to the wrong voices.

Some of their stuff is OK to listen to and some I wouldn't. I can handle a lot of different kinds of music (except twangin') as long as the message is not drug related or sexual in content.

Hmmmm. Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with Pink FLoyd per se, but seeing as how what I am pretty sure you are trying to accomplish with your children I wouldn't recommend you let them listen to PF. Then again, I have become one of the comfortably numb.

My son is a guitar player but this one doesn't speak much English and he come in today and asked me. I told him other than remembering they were rock players I did not know very much. Thanks I will pass the information to him.
Most of you know we raised lots of kids some speak English others do not...depending on age etc when they came to live with us and if they wanted to study English. I did not force my language on any of them. If they wanted they learned and I paid classes for them if not I did not insist they become Americans. So we have quite a different family! But all sweet kids...now grown "kids"....ha.. and Berk this mom knows very little of the world...my own kids laugh at me sometimes because I get so surprized at this or that...
