I've had people say that we can't be as God is, that it's a sin to presume that we can know the mind of God. HE COMMANDED that we become like minded with Him, that we become Holy as He is Holy (
1 Peter 1:16) He said that He became an example of how we are to be and that it IS possible to be as God is--the ONLY way that we can't become equal or as He is---is in the powers of Creation. He said that if we'd do these things that He would give us a new world and release us from the hell we seem determined to place ourselves in.
He said that we are His children of light and that we should go forth carrying the burden of His love(maternal insinct) for all, obey His Commandments because they would allow us to put a damper on hatred, greed, lust, covetness, envy, etc. and all other things that bring strife and destroy the souls of mankind and then He would introduce Himself to us.
We seem afraid to presume that we can know Him or His mind, be as He is, and walk hand in hand with Him. THIS is what He wants--for us to ripen and mature and become ONE WITH HIM in truth and in spirit. He said to come BOLDLY before Him in truth and in spirit and He would throw wide the doors of heaven and pour out so much blessing that we couldn't hold it. WE have to grow up and become leaders of men in the ways of God with mercy, love and grace in truth, wisdom and light.
The Bible and teachings of Jesus are the mind and ways of God for ALL to know so that we can know His mind and heart and ways.
