We are in Belize!
Please pray for our team of 16 that we don't experience and sickness or troubles on this trip. We are here delivering 960 backpacks full of school suppliles, toys and toiletries for school kids for Christmas. We have six schools to visit, where we will also get a chance to pray over each child individually and over the teachers/administration. These are public schools, but they are wide open to the gospel. We are also doing one Roman Catholic school, where we will get a chance to pray over them as well!
Also, we are buying a big bulk of rice and beans today and we will be filling up gallon size baggies to distribute in a couple of poor villages, where we will also get to pray over people who have needs. We're very excited!
We are in an Asian hotel this year for the first three days. The walls are THIN, but the rooms are very clean and nice. And I have HOT WATER - praise the Lord! Last year, I had none at all. However, we do have a rooster that started at 3:30 this morning right outside my screened bathroom window and went off for hours. At least I won't oversleep.
After three days here, we will spend one night in the mountains at a very nice lodge - that's our reward day. Then we come back and stay in San Ignacio, right by the Guatemalan border, for three more nights, where we will start working again.
My team ranges in age from 10 to 72, so it's interesting. But that's what makes it all fun. These are awesome people of God!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: We are in Belize!
Thanks for the prayers!! We had a great day yesterday and are anticipating one today as well. Yesterday, we loaded boxes of filled backpacks on the bus and drove to a small very poor school in a village called Los Tambos. The children did such beautiful presentations for us, including singing worship songs and praying. This year, we have determined to pray over each child individually before giving them their gifts, and so far the principals have been all for it! So our team laid hands on every child in line and I (along with two others) got to pray over the principals and teachers. Amazing that these government schools are open to the gospel and American ones are not!
After Los Tambos, we went to buy beans and rice for distribution in a village today. We went to a church that they let us use and packed gallon baggies with the beans and rice. Then we drove to our second school in a forsaken place called La Gracia. Neither of these schools had electricity, but they did have a water tank that fills with rain for their use. There were outhouses for the children. This school was so remote that the kids did not speak English or Spanish, only the native Mayan language. But they are trying to teach them English in school.
We had a great pizza and wings supper here in Belmopan and headed to Spanish Lookout for church in a Mennonite community. This is a group of Holy Ghost filled former Mennonites and there were probably 250 there on a Thursday night and the worship was incredible! I was there six months ago, and it has probably tripled since then. The people are SO hungry for more of God! The pastor grew up Pentecostal, but he married a Belizean and felt called to minister to these precious people coming out of religion, bringing them to the Pentecostal experience.
We came back and crashed and are now up and getting ready to start again. We will go to two more schools today to hand out gifts and pray, and then we will go into the village of Buena Vista to give out food. It's a very dangerous little place, but most of the people are very sweet - just so desperately poor.
More reports later!!
