Hopefully My Last Political Thread :)

This is what I posted on facebook. I thought I would share it here:

This will probably be my only "political post". The division I see on my timeline is both sad and ironic. I wish people would recognize how united all of the real power brokers and leaders at the highest levels actually are. Beneath the false facade of party differences, they are parts of the same exclusive, far more bonded societies and clubs. They play the American people on both sides against each other while they collectively laugh all the way to the bank. They play lip service to hot button issues that they could personally care less about and more importantly have no intention of doing anything about because THEY NEED THOSE ISSUES TO GALVANIZE AND POLARIZE EVERY FOUR YEARS. My prayer is that the American people could be half as united in purpose as the American political powers are. That is all. TStew

Re: Hopefully My Last Political Thread :)

I wish it would be everyone's last political post for at least 4 years. This looks like a political forum.

In four years we will have to relive all this political rhetoric again. Ooops. Did I say 4 years? They usually start two years ahead of election day.

You are right, Who won the election? Neither liberals, nor conservatives and certainly no one who believes in the Constitution for these United States and the principles of liberty. Ostensibly, the Democrats won and of course, Obama; however, in reality the winner is the corporatist oligarchy and the pundit chatter is already defending duopoly.

Vote Third Party!

I think you are totally off base in your analysis. There are genuine and deep differences in the two major political parties. We see economics, work ethics, self motiviation, role of government, etc very, very differently from each other.

I see this effort every four years of folks trying to act like there is no significant differences and once again it rings hollow as it is not true.

It is black helicopter nonsense to think they are all high fiving each other behind the scenes, that it is all just some big act.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I think in the lower levels, there are differences, but at the very top, I don't think so. My opinion.
