But let's begin with Intrade. It's been around about 10 years. It correctly predicted the last two elections.

2004 - It got 50 out of 50 states correct.
2008 - 48 out of 50 states correct.

Right now Intrade has Obama winning - 71.5% - Romney 30.0%

Other predictive markets:

Predictwise: Obama 73.1% - Romney 26.8%

Betfair: Obama 76.6% - Romney 23.0%

IEM (for popular vote only)- Obama 78.1% - Romney 22.0%

Where did some PROMINENT GOP'S come up with the LANDSLIDE prediction? I must admit for a week or two it was giving me hope.

Did the GOP leadership just invent it out of nothing to try to excite the base?
