Paul Ryan's fake charitable soup kitchen photo-op
This is for DM! Why does this remind me of Michell's fake garden food? Little lyin' Ryan keeps on ticking. He will make a perfect VP. He knows the ropes already. lol

Charity president unhappy about Paul Ryan soup kitchen ‘photo op’
“We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antal said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there, and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”
He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”

Leralism is indeed a mental disorder. The pics did not look inside all of the pots and pans. Second, food inspectors do not pass establishments with pots and pans that 'look clean'. The liberals on this forum are not only lost, but are also mentally unstable and should be medicated.

Re: Paul Ryan's fake charitable soup kitchen photo
There is no "lie" here. They stopped in unannounced, impromptu and found the soup kitchen was in a downtime. Rather than move on, they used up their 15 minutes while on the way to the airport, which sounds like a typically busy campaign schedule to me. I think this is actually a very odd story, and I'm certain there's more to it than what is being reported at the moment. The owner is upset--that much is obvious--but that doesn't mean he's speaking the truth, either. He accused Ryan of "ramrodding" his way into the soup kitchen, which I highly doubt, and he wasn't even there.
"He added that the incident had caused him “all kinds of grief” and that regardless of whether Ryan had intended to serve food to patrons or wash dishes, he would not have allowed the visit to take place."
The article you posted says that Ryan and his family came in and offered to do dishes--so obviously they were actually trying to be helpful.
"Upon entering the soup kitchen, Ryan, his wife and three young children greeted and thanked several volunteers, then donned white aprons and offered to clean some dishes."
Obviously someone directed them to some dishes. I completely reject the claim that they practically forced their way in. Nonsense. Obviously onsite staff let them in and they tried to make the most of their visit although they probably would have fared better had they called ahead and made sure it was mealtime.
Also, the comment in the article about the pot appearing clean is just plain stupid. It's possible the pot was used to boil broccoli or something minimally dirty, or it's possible the staff said, "Here, wash these." and Ryan just took them and washed them. Who knows? Who cares?
Afterward, he talked to some homeless people outside and then went on to the airport.
If I had to use some logic and come up with a plausible reason for the owner to be upset, it wouldn't be because Romney forced his way into a soup kitchen to wash clean dishes; it would be because the owner is scared to death that he'll lose non-profit status for supporting a candidate. What is the owner going to accuse them of next? Breaking and entering? He's just mad because he wasn't consulted (which is the fault of his STAFF--not Romney/Ryan!), and he's worried about losing donors. He's the one whose credibility is suspect, IMO, because he has reason to be worried. One Acronym: IRS.

Charity president slams Paul Ryan for barging into soup kitchen for photo op
“He did nothing,” Antal told The Washington Post. “He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”
Ryan came with his wife Janna and their three kids, who also wore aprons and pretended to get their hands dirty, after a town hall at Youngstown State University.
Antal is furious because he says Ryan’s visit could affect the charity’s funding if donors think it favors one candidate over another.
It’s nothing personal against Ryan, he says.
“If this was the Democrats, I’d have the same exact problem,” he said.

Paul Ryan Shameless Soup KitchenPhoto Op
We tried getting a comment from Ryan's camp, to no avail.

Soup kitchen visit by Ryan stirs anger
Juanita Sherba, St. Vincent’s Saturday coordinator for the dining hall, said she gave the Ryan campaign approval that day for the visit by the candidate and his family.
Sherba say she now realizes it wasn’t her call to make.
The event “was a photo op,” she said. “It was the phoniest piece of baloney I’ve ever been associated with. In hindsight, I would have never let him in the door.”
When an advance person from the Mitt Romney/Ryan campaign asked about the visit, Sherba said it took her by surprise.
“I didn’t know it was my place to say ‘no,’” she said. “I made a mistake.”
The event was completely staged by the campaign, she said.
“They couldn’t have cared less,” Sherba said. “The advance man said Paul Ryan wanted to come and talk to our clientele, but he didn’t.”
She said she was told Ryan would talk with the society’s clientele, but he arrived so late that breakfast was over for quite some time.
Volunteers started to clean up, she said, when a Ryan campaign staff member asked them to leave some pots and pans unwashed so the VP nominee and his family could do something when he arrived.

Typical campaign trick. Both sides do it. Drink the Kool-aid if you don't buy it.

Re: Paul Ryan's fake charitable soup kitchen photo
A feeble attempt to distract from the REAL NEWS that we have at best an incompetent president who allowed an ambassador go unprotected for political reasons perhaps or b/c ideology continues to blind common sense---OR at worst he's lying through his teeth, he knew they needed and requested extra security and he and his handlers denied the request, and now he's letting Hillary take the blame---the Buck Does Not Stop with this president. Pass The Buck There is his motto! This Ryan story is juvenile. It's a non story and won't last two days.

I agree that there is more important news like Libya. It's just that I don't know why these candidates put themselves in such ridiculous circumstances as though the people on the ground are not aware.
It is just as ridiculous of the Ryan campaign to do this as it was for Michelle to invite all these chefs to the White House pretending they were using food from her garden when, in fact, it was fake. They had the vegetables brought in. lol
Such an insane life in politics. They all hurt our country and it's people more than anyone.

Sounds about right, I am so disgusted with them all. Waiting for Hillary to get fired, and see who Obama replaces her with.

Yea, after the election, it's time for a break. I have some obligations, outside of AFF, on the news cycle, but after the election, I'm taking a break.
