Obama has been saying that the idea of cutting taxes and cutting spending was tried once before but it got us into the mess we're in today. This is a bald face lie.

Reagan cut taxes and spending and the economy prospered. Clinton cut taxes and spending and the economy prospered. Bush cut taxes but didn't cut spending AND the Democrats started under Clinton the sub prime loan policy with Freddie and Fannie creating the housing bubble and we got the crash in 2008.

THIS is what didn't work: loans to unworthy recipients and out of control government spending!

The facts are this---when tax rates are lowered and government spending is cut, our economy prospers. Deepening the national debt, raising taxes and spending year after year far beyond what we take in is a recipe for disaster.

WAKE UP OBAMA VOTERS! Obama's fiscal policies will only end in financial ruin!!! What will it take to get you to see the truth?

exactly the clinton prosperous times were in part funny money ie the dems tried to push it down to people who werent qualified ,had no intention of paying and wanted welfare housing (unqualified loans)that started the whole crash.some people will always be poor because they got stuck in welfare ,with no education and dont want to workl,a friend of mine owns a very successful resturaunt,and wo fail his help will turn down the health plan ,because they can get free medicaid ,this is whats wrong ,we have tree farmers in our state that cant hire qualified people ,because as soon as they are hired ,dhs tells em dont get your income up there too much then you can get section 8 ,food satmps ,snap etc.this is the food stamp president,who thinks the govt .is reposible for peoples success and wants gov to provide everything.

The income tax accounts for how much of the government's spending?

Oh wait, that's right... the income tax doesn't actually go to the government, it goes to the Federal Reserve for 'payment of federal obligation'.

So anyway, all these people who 'don't pay taxes'.... what, they don't buy anything? They don't buy gas? They don't buy cokes? They don't pay any taxes on phone service (they don't have phone service?) They don't pay electric bills?

The idea that 50 percent of americans pay 'no' taxes is a lie. We all pay taxes practically everytime we step out the door.

And thanks to Romney's individual mandate (which the conservative SCOTUS just decided was a tax, absent any constitutional authority to do so) which was adopted by Obama in his soviet-style health care reform bill, many more Americans will get to 'pay their fair share'.

I find it fascinating how many people whine about 'more people need to pay taxes' when the VAST MAJORITY of 'taxes' are utterly unnecessary for a FREE society. Pay for the roads and keep the toxins out of my drinking water, but I don't think more people need to pay taxes to make sure fornicators can get free 'birth control' yada yada yada.

Well, we have no idea how much your sensible black man in power has paid in taxes, now do we? In fact, we have no idea how your sensible black man in power got a scholarship for foreign students to go to school to begin a career in wrecking America, come to think of it.
