I AM God the Father

Here is where He claims to be the Father Himself.

John 14:13-14--And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, THAT WILL I DO, that the Father be glorified in the son. 14--If ye shall ask any thing, in my name, I WILL DO IT

John 16:23--And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME, HE WILL GIVE IT YOU.

Yeshua Bless You

Also--John 12:45, John 14:7, John 14:10, John 6:46

What? Jesus is claiming to be the Father in the passages? Where?

Re: I AM God the Father

This is some of the weirdest hermeneutics I have ever seen.

Scripture seems quite clear to me; God is the Head of Christ. These endless Godhead debates reinforce for me that Pentecostalism is a nursery (and a graveyard), and I find them a satanic sideshow. This does not open minds to the Kingdom. Right up there with Politics.
"Lets find something we can all disagree on."

Ps, who is "He?" fourth word? You never even say?
Surely shorthand, ok, but reads as lack of respect, maybe.

Re: I AM God the Father

My understanding is that there were times when the man Christ Jesus spoke in ways that might seem a bit opaque about Him being God the father come in a body because He knew that

1- The religious leaders who were listening would be out to kill him or get in the way if he just came right out and said who he was- so he spoke in a way that was somewhat covert. They knew the word (Old Testament prophecies and knew that the Messiah was supposed to be the one God come in bodily form, but their hearts and minds were warped by their legalistic and the little bit of power that had been granted to them under the imperial Roman regime that they had become twisted and would react irrationally and prematurely perhaps because they thought that this Jesus was going to interfere and take away the little bit of power that they thought they had under the imperial Roman repression.

2- Also, He used discretion because it just wasn't for everyone within earshot to understand everything that He was saying because then there would be no faith and growth called for on their part.

I really think that the doctrine of the Oneness of God in Christ is a very, very important doctrine. If God said in the OT that it was to be emphasized as a cardinal belief that He was absolutely one, we need to take this seriously. I think there is a trend in some camps to focus on the fruit of the spirit or works of faith and miracles that bring about fellowship and unity of the brethren. This may have its place, and certainly we are not to be rude, unkind and argumentative or defame anyone's character or brawl, debate or act unseemly, but if God says that it is important to stress that He is indivisibly singular, who are we to say that it doesn't matter what you believe as long as you are showing love and the demons are being cast out of people?

Re: I AM God the Father

Thank You.
Psalm 139:10--Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Psalm 138:7--Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thind hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
Malachi 4:2--But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Sun is capitalized in KJV--I picture Him on the cross when I read this.
Yeshua Bless You
