Cop's Alledged Threat Against First Lady

A Washington, D.C., police officer has been removed from his unit and placed on administrative duty over remarks he allegedly made about first lady Michelle Obama—but the Secret Service is downplaying the controversy, msnbc.com reports.
The officer, who worked as a motorcycle escort for White House officials, "allegedly said he would shoot the first lady and then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use," according to the Washington Post.
Stupidity is alive and well. Good grief.

Things like this are very scary. I have worried for years about something happening with some of the local police that are used to protect Presiential motorcades.
You have all of these guys with weapons near the President that are not vetted near as well as Secret Service agents are for psychological stability, etc.
All it takes is one disgruntled or mentally unstable nut who decides to go out in a blaze of glory by doing some horrific act.

we are to respect the office even if we dislike the person. no matter what I think it is the first lady and we are to speak in love not hate.

100% agree. We live in a democracy and if we don't like an elected official or their wife we should work to remove them from office through the election process.
I want the Secret Service and court system to come down hard on anyone that threatens a President regardless if they are Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal.
I can't believe there are those who think the man who shot President Reagan should be freed. Not only is he a nut but anyone who attempts assassinating a President should NEVER get out of prison as an example to others and as a safetly precaution.
