Hair As A Covering
Hasidic Jewish women cover their hair, which is their glory, either with a wig or another covering. In public or even in their own homes if they have company. Only their husbands are allowed to see their hair. They believe in modesty of dress, and no ornate jewelry. Usually dark clothing, so as not to bring attention to themselves.
But the men have a distinct look, with the beard and side curls.
Kind of the same, yet somehow different take on scripture I guess.
So do we have it right or wrong?

Re: Hair As A Covering
I read a good article on this yesterday, Cindy, but feared to bring it up because I was accused of "hammering" the subject.

It seems to me that some religions and cultures treat women the same. And their belief's are similar to a certain extent.

It's a bit controversial....as this subject usually is.
I neither agree nor disagree with this essay. She uses the talmud...of which I am not fond of at all.
