Baptist School?

So i have a 4 year old son and we really need to get him into preschool because I worry he will be far behind when school starts. There is only one preschool that isn't crazy priced in the area and it's called "Tri-City Christian School", well It's Baptist. I really like the location of the school and the prices are soooo reasonable. I'm just not sure if we should send our UPC son to a Baptist school.

Opinions?

Re: Baptist School?

I don't think they teach doctrine in pre-school. You can ask and find out.

Re: Baptist School?

I am of the opinion that we teach our children doctrine at home and at the church we attend. It worked out well for our children. They love God even though they went to public school their entire school years. God honored our faith and kept our boys from following the crowd at school.

It's better to live within budget. I think your little boy will be fine as long as mommy and daddy is teaching him about God at home along with Church.

You'd have to weigh the pros and cons. How important is his education, compared to his soul's eternal fate?

Re: Baptist School?

Candidly ask the administrator/director if other Oneness families have had their children in their program before. Ask if you could get a name for a recommendation from another Oneness customer, or at least another doctrine that is different than Baptist by a large degree. Find out from past experiences how they react, especially if they teach any Bible stories, dress code, etc.

Remember, you are the customer. You are the one in charge here of what you want and need for your child. Candidly and honestly ask them if it's an issue... and see it as an opportunity for them to see Oneness people at work.

Re: Baptist School?

You'd be better off just hiring a private tutor for a couple of hours a day.

Cheaper.
One-on-one attention.
No prayers offered to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

If you are a dyed-in-the-wool apostolic and want the same for your kids, then sending the child to a baptist school at such a young age is foolish.

Re: Baptist School?

Send him as it would be better than public school.
