Pastor Santorum's message for America

The more I hear this man speak, the less I want him in the White House. Sure, I'm glad the guy has his religious beliefs and is willing to talk about them, I just don't want him imposing his beliefs on me.

Below is the link for a video in which he gives a speech and talks about satan destroying America. It reminded me of some folk who look for the devil behind every bush or boulder. Sure, I agree the devil wants to destroy...but it's the souls of people he wants, not politics.

I cringe at the thought of him winning the nomination. Unfortunately, the more time passes, the less chance I think the GOP has at beating Obama in November -- regardless of who runs against him, much less Pastor Santorum.

I think the context of the speech is important. The speech was given at Ave Maria University, a Catholic University. So, he shared some religious beliefs in a religious school. I'm sure if Romney actually did the same, his views would be WAAAAAAYYYYY out there. Even if Obama gave a speech at a liberal religious institution and spoke of Satan trying to divide America and oppress the poor, blah, blah, blah... it would be expected.

I think he is right. Satan wants to destroy the US because the US is pretty well the only country still exporting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

Once upon a time, perhaps that was the case....but America's biggest export these days is Hollywood, movies, music and porn. In fact, I've come across people from other countries who have traveled here, (GB, Australia) to be "missionaries" in the US. Sad.

satan could care less about what Santorum is talking about. Politics, and more politics. satan already has that in the bag. he'd rather have the souls of people, than the politics and junk that Santorum is talking about.

Yes, context does matter. However, he was speaking then as a candidate for President, not for Pope, Bishop, Pastor, etc. The pendulum goes to the extreme both ways. I don't want Obama's left-wing and I don't want Santorum's right-wing....both of which already meddle or will meddle too much in the private lives of citizens.

IIRC, the left extreme is marxism/socialism, the right extreme is fascism. Neither bode very well for the citizens.
