The only thing shocking is that this doesn't shock me in the least.

I was aware this was done in China. I did not know about India though. Did you watch the vid? It's pretty amazing that they are still so enslaved to a dowry system. I have my gripes with the modern world, but this is just one more way we are far better off than in bygone eras.

Re: India's Gender Selection Secrets

The problem is that in many cultures, the women are not viewed as being worth as much as men. Thus they can be bought, sold, be engaged in pre-pubertal marriages, or even killed without any concern. These cultures often teach that the men take care of their elders, make all the money, control the government, etc. Thus women have nearly no say in their own lives. This is especially true in the poorer more rural areas of places such as India and China. It is why China faces a shortage of young women for their young men to marry. Until the light of Christianity shines forth in these places, sadly the lot of women and girls will not change.

I knew it was illegal to do ultrasounds to determine sex in India, but didn't realize that the law was ignored. Very, very sad.

Re: India's Gender Selection Secrets

I have heard this said for quite some time. The same thing happened when we went into Aghanistan. They all were accusing us of anti-Muslim bigotry, but not a one of them had anything to say about the wretched lives of the women. The only thing they care about is advancing their own radical agenda on the United States.
