Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
Both my wife's dell and my Dell are going out.....we have used them extensively while here in Colombia and Ecuador. Our projector is also on its last leg. I am seriously considering switching from PC to MAC. I am concerned about is it really worth the extra cost? If I switch to Iworks will I loose all my Bible studies that I presently have on Word/PDF/Power Point? Do they easily convert into Iworks? Any one have any suggestions? Or maybe you changed and have regrets? Any one gone from Mac to PC?

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
I purchased a MacBook Pro a couple of months ago. Also, I got an iPhone 4S (my first iPhone I've ever owned). I love this computer, and I'm happy I quit the PC habit.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
We have had mostly Dell computers with a couple of Toshibas thrown in; I can't WAIT to switch to MAC when these finally give up the ghost. Which shouldn't be too long, considering our PC track record.
You should be able to use something like www.dropbox.com to save your files and then you can download those to a new computer. If the iPad has programs to read Microsoft document files, I'm sure MAC computers do, too.
iPad was my first step into the Apple water, and I can't wait to use Apple phones and laptops.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
We have switched over the last couple of years to Apple.
We will never buy anything else, now.
My work still uses Dell, however.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
I use Mac's all day at work (I'm the IT guy at a school which is almost ALL Apple). I even have a school issued Macbook and ipad and will NEVER own a Mac, iPad or iPhone. I'm very happy with my Toshiba laptop, home built desktop, and Motorola Droid phone.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
I close personal friend of mine writes software for Microsoft. In fact, he is a key designer for Windows 7 and other Microsoft operating systems. He does not own a PC, and states he never will. I found this odd coming from a man who develops PC software for consumers, because he's a Mac guy all the way.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
Good info for consideration. My Toshiba laptop is showing signs of aging.
My s-i-l writes software for iphones and other systems. He recently became an Apple fan and is switching over.
I'm undecided....cost is definitely a factor.

Re: Anyone switch from PC to MAC?
I have been anti-Apple for many years as I refused to pay about double for the privilege of having a notebook or desktop computer with their logo on it even if it only crashed about half the time of a Windows computer.
However since the Iphone has been out for several years now and so far no competitor can touch it (my sons try out all of the supposedly greatest smartphones and they never work as well as an iphone it seems) and the ipad is clearly innovative and the best of the tablets. For those reasons I am finally crying uncle and am going to get an iphone 4s and a year or two from now an ipad. I might even pay the extra dough for a notebook or desktop someday!

They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
