Name the Compelling Reasons to Reelect Obama
To President Obama supporters: if asked to list the compelling reasons to vote for Obama in 2012, what would be the reasons you would cite?

Re: Name the Compelling Reasons to Reelect Obama
I like the idea of having a minority in the White House. So that brings his approval rating up to 7% for me.

Re: Name the Compelling Reasons to Reelect Obama
protect social security, medicare, medicaid and obamacare. protect middle class tax cuts. make rich pay fair share. protect wallstreet regulation. protect poor and middleclass in spending cuts. protect supreme court from radical judges. protect union rights.
except for needed spending cuts, it is about protecting status quo from radical republican change. thank god for the filabuster in case obama loses. we won't see radical change. we don't need it. the system isn't designed for it.
republicans would be better off if they weren't proposing radical change, but u have to veer to the right in the primaries and that kills them. democrats lose if they veer too far left.

Re: Name the Compelling Reasons to Reelect Obama
I have to disagree, there is not a single reason to maintain the status quo.
If you want a minority, elect Herman Cain.
If you want someone who is as uninspiring, John Huntsman is the one for you.
If you are interested in seeing a woman as President, Michelle Bachman awaits your vote.
If you are not wanting to leave the main stream but want a Republican, elect Mitt Romney.
If you want an intellectual, Newt Gingrich is the one to choose.
If you want a conservative voice but supportive governmental policies, Rick Perry is for you.
If you are not really sure what you want, Ron Paul will be sure to give you at least a little bit of everything.

Umm, you can replace him with Herman Cain, keep a minority in the White House, and be rid of its current occupant.

DM the President can't do all that. He has to rely on Congress and the Senate.

if a republican congress tries to pass those measures the president can veto. he is the last line of defense in legislation being passed.
