I can't recall what name I used before. Besides, didn't post a whole lot.
Thanks

Re: Just Back

A little more about me. I was around the UPC for almost 30 years. Know and still have some of my closest friends. Sure, many are dissappointed but the true friends still welcome me. A lot have turned away as expected.

So have you rejected Oneness doctrine? Or the UPC group? Both?

In the sense of claiming that those who do not fully understand the nature of the Godhead are lost, I do not accept. Aside from that, I believe the oneness doctrine.
I don't believe that baptism is for literal remission of sins and I don't believe the necessity of speaking in tongues for salvation. Both subjects have been covered quite well on this forum. No need for explanation.

I believed and stated the above for several years at the appropriate time but continued in the UPC. God provided the right timing for my departure.
That I am most thankful.

Re: Just Back

Returnperson,

You have stated you are no longer UPC but are you still a church going Christian? Are you plugged into a church somewhere?

Titus2woman on AF
F

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

There is life in Christ, after UPC, and there are great communities of believers that you can be a part of and still walk in Life. Would you agree?
