I believe this one will reveal Cain's weakness. This is Perry's chance to redeem himself. I think he will come out roaring to appear strong, but if looked at closely his policies will lack the substance, wisdom, and diplomacy needed. It will be "shoot'em up cowboy" more than wise, strategic leader. I predict if Newt is listened to, he'll DOMINATE.

You're lack of knowledge on this point is astounding. He has created more jobs than Obama, encourages and respects small business, has a clear and defined understanding of federalism in relation to what the states should not be forced into, he has very solid core convictions that most of America aligns with, he can also unite core conservative Republicans, Independents and Democrats across this whole nation on social, economic and defense policy.
Also, a brain freeze is one's inability to recollect something SO BASIC at that point in time..with all the criticism Perry has got, no one has been able to answer how you prepare not to have brain freeze. It seems the criticism is that, if you are running for POTUS, you can't afford to make human mistakes. He was honest- he could have named any agency and say later that he misspoke, or he could have said check my plan on my website. Finally, how come it is lost in all this that he later remembered? If you have never lost your train of thoughts, then I would understand the criticism. Ronald Reagan had his.
And why is no one talking about Cain's brain freeze on a medicare question that Newt had to answer for him at the Woodlands debate? No one is talking about that.

I am in it until the last hoorah!

Perry Can Win If Leadership Trumps Debates
Gov. Rick Perry stated at the outset of his presidential campaign that he is running for president based on his principles and leadership accomplishments, not his oratorical skills. Media focus on his debate missteps deliberately ignores Perry’s record and charisma.
Because America voted for silver-tongued eloquence and sparkling debate performances in 2008. How’s that working out for you?

Did Perry have brain freeze, or did he merely forget everything his handlers coached him to say?
And what's with Texan politicians talking like they have chew in their mouths? They say "firsht" instead of "first"..."shecond" instead of "second". And what's with Perry even mimmicking President Bush's mannerisms? The dudes another "useful idiot" for the special interests.
Gingrich drafted his own policies and even advises conservative PACs on policies. Newt lead Congress under Clinton and is thus well versed on domestic and foreign policy. The dude is the most intelligent Republican running.
Please read Newt's book, Winning The Future. Great policies. I know...Newt isn't a conservative idealogue, so many conservatives take some issue with him...but he's real...and is his own man.

National Security: For over two decades, Gingrich has taught at the United States Air Force's Air University, where he is the longest-serving teacher of the Joint Flag Officer Warfighting Course. In addition, he is a Distinguished Visiting Scholar and Professor at the National Defense University and teaches officers from all of the defense services.

Gingrich taught history at the University of West Georgia (then called West Georgia College) in Carrollton, from 1970 to 1978. He also taught a class, Renewing American Civilization, at Kennesaw State University (then called Kennesaw State College) in 1993.

Newt Gingrich has left a long trail of comments on cap and trade, most of them from his brief 2006-2007 tour as an environmentalist who wanted, as his book was titled, "A Contract with the Earth." The most specific comments I've seen came in a February 2007 interview with PBS's Frontline. He is not consistent. Gov. Perry has been consistent. He never bought into the Global Warming myth.
“I think if you have mandatory carbon caps combined with a trading system, much like we did with sulfur, and if you have a tax-incentive program for investing in the solutions, that there's a package there that's very, very good. And frankly, it's something I would strongly support.... If [George W. Bush] had instituted a regime that combined three things I just said -- mandatory caps, a trading system inside the caps, as we have with clean air, and a tax incentive to be able to invest in the new technology and to be able to produce the new technology -- I think we would be much better off than we are in the current situation." -- Newt Gingrich
