THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.
SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?
I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES.
WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

All the more reason to micro-search some things out. Good eye, Ferd. I'm not so sure I would have looked THAT DEEP into something. Now we all know...
well, as Twisp stated, I didnt have to do much digging... just clicked the link and read the page....I do naturally look at bylines and dates of stories. that is always important when referencing your work.
I did however, have a clear memory of the discussion of flags and patriotism in the aftermath of 9/11. The other outlets and the Lib/Progs were aghast at Fox news for "flag waiving" they decided to turn the word "patriotism" into code word for jingoism.
So I kind of knew what this was about and what to look for.
