Sad, so sad.
Makes me want to be quiet.

Were you acquainted with the pastor Jermyn?

Re: Death of Florida Pastor Zachary Tims
Hoovie, this is a pastor who was discovered to have been having a year long extra marital affair a few years ago. Went though a divoce I believe. Sat out of the pulpit for a little while, went through some sort of "restoration" and retook the pulpit.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Hoovie, he seemed like a very genuine guy (the ONE time I met him personally about a year ago), but I have PURPOSELY steered people away from that mess of a church every chance I could.
With a clear conscience I can say that his church is not the place I would send someone to hear the weather report.

Re: Death of Florida Pastor Zachary Tims
He has billboards all over the city.
He's on the radio.
He's been on tv.
He's on cable.
He's a very popular man and the people who attend his church do so at the peril of their own soul.
It's just so incredibly sad guys and frightening.

Re: Death of Florida Pastor Zachary Tims
Does anyone know the cause of death? Also, who will potentially lead the church going forward? Did he have an assistant?

He had several.
He also was in the middle of a bitter divorce that should have been settled a long time ago.
However, according to the lawyer for the almost ex wife, the reason why it was ongoing was due to Pastor Timms REFUSING to give his wife any money, assets, etc outside of the child support mandated by law.
So since he's passed, his wife and children ought to be reaping an AMAZING inheritance-- an inheritance that (apparently) he never intended for his wife to enjoy.

Wow!!!! Help us, Lord. Trying not to say anything crazy, but no extra-marital affair was worth any of this. I am sure that the stress associated with this affair and divorce did nothing for trying to keep him alive.
If they are still married, it all belongs to her.!!!!!

Re: Death of Florida Pastor Zachary Tims
I heard the first reports last night. I never really watched the TBN crowd and Zachery Tims was a big part of that. He made A LOT of money. I heard that there's literally a Tims personality cult down there in Orlando, don't know how much of the information I had about heard is true, but it certainly isn't my type of church.
Anyway, the reports this morning still aren't putting out a cause of death. I hope my first fears (suicide) aren't correct. My prayers go out to his children mostly.
