Palin was not snubbed by Thatcher

Just to set the record straight and once again proof that her detractors will believe anything negative. PDS is a self inflicted ailment, accompanied by a constant case of self imposed embarassment.

Sarah Palin was not snubbed by Margaret Thatcher, former aide says
June 14, 2011 | 2:52 pm

Sarah Palin may not get to have an audience with Margaret Thatcher, but it's not because the Baroness thinks the hockey mom is wacky.

In the wake of two reports quoting anonymous sources claiming that the former British prime minister is refusing to meet with an adoring Palin on an upcoming European stop because "Sarah Palin is nuts," a former aide of the Iron Lady says that the purported snub is rubbish.

"I have spoken to Lady Thatcher’s Private Office regarding the story, and they confirm that the attack on Sarah Palin definitely did not come from her office, and in no way reflects her views. As a former aide to Margaret Thatcher myself, I can attest that this kind of thinking is entirely alien to her, and that such remarks would never be made by her office," wrote Nile Gardiner, a political analyst for the Telegraph U.K.

The brouhaha started soon after Palin announced to a British newspaper that she plans on visiting Europe for the first time and aspired to meet with Thatcher, one of her political heroes.

Re: Palin was not snubbed by Thatcher

Maybe one day Margaret Thatcher will speak for Margaret Thatcher, as Sarah Palin speaks for Sarah Palin. No wonder we cut our ties with that double-talking monarchy and formed our own Republic.

Re: Palin was not snubbed by Thatcher

So, why is Palin so interested in the thoughts of a woman with dementia?

She's interested in a figure in history that shared many of the same values.

Did I write that slow enough?

What is she particularly interested in finding out from a person with dementia?

A first grader could figure this out. You're being obtuse, right?

Or, just looking for a way to prolong a reason to stick it to Palin?

I care for my MIL who suffers with dementia, she still has value and worthwhile things to say.

I would have loved to have met President Ronald Reagan, alzhemiers or not. What a privilage that would have been. No doubt, Sarah Palin feels the same way about Margaret Thatcher. Hope that clears things up for you....stay tuned until the next post appears to bash Sarah Palin.

Re: Palin was not snubbed by Thatcher

Again, you think everything Palin says or does is not up for any kind of critique. She is a flawless boot-strapping you-betcha maverick that walks on water in your eyes. To me, she's just a politician, and not a very good one at that. There is no possible way she was there for a photo op. There is no possible way she was trying to boost her poll ratings. Yeah, no way.
