See IHOP Teaching Acts 2:38 Salvation
http://www.ihop.org/Publisher/Articl...?ID=1000103993
Scroll down to the Saturday May 14 session 5 video. Go to the 1 hour and 25 minute point in the video there he begins the portion Im writing about.
Here Wes Hall one of the three leaders at IHOP tells the hearers Acts 2:38 is the required way of salvation.
This is significant in that this a Trinitarian Church coming into a deeper knowledge of truth.
While some Apostolics are drawing back into Protestant Evangelical teaching here we see the Lord guiding Charismatics to a more Biblical understanding.

some trinity churches have been doing this for awhile. they just never agreed on the oneness view of the Godhead.
there is a non denominational church close to were i live, they will baptize either way. they let the baptizee decided. however he never mentioned matthew 28:19 or in jesus name.
One thing im wondering why he preaches yeshua and not Jesus. its weired that Jewish/christian preachers will use jesus, but the american wants to use the hebrew.

This is not about just baptism in Jesus name. Its about understanding that the new birth is presented to mankind in the way of repenting, being baptized, and filled with the Spirit.
I have only known one other Trinitarian (Evangelical) group that teaches Acts 2:38 is the new birth.

as soon as you Love on Jesus. the Lord said
1john 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Interesting!
I have thought about visiting them sometime... I am about 2.5 hrs from IHOP.
However, they do seem to be caught up into some of the strange fringe characteristics of charismata - which I cannot stomach.

Like what? I have been watching them for a year and a half now. In the past 10 months or so I have seen the odd stuff pretty much disappear. What I usually see is the apex of beautiful worship.
Make no mistake....as pleased as I am to see them come to the accurate knowledge of the new birth they are Trins.
Would to God there were Oneness Pentecostal groups like this.

I go to a trinity pentacostal church now, and the spirit moves on them just as much as it would any apostolic church..

I don't think I doubt that anymore than I believe you are able to verify the same. God deals with the individual heart, and is not big on denominational lines IMHO.
