No OBL Photo, But Abu Ghraib, Saddam Hussein Ok

Isn't it odd that the same people who demanded that the public see the "atrocities" at Abu Ghraib and the hanging of Saddam Hussein are afraid that pictures of a dead OBL will be inflammatory?

Didn't it inflame hatred in the hearts of Muslims to see Muslim insurgents in prison with underwear on their head and prison guards cloating over them? But the liberals and the media cried out for transparency and that the world needed to know what our troops were doing to these prisoners even if it embarrassed our president and tarnished our military's image?

Didn't it inflame the Saddam Hussein supporters in the insurgency when they saw their former president hung from a rope? But the liberals and media demanded full disclosure, we needed to see this footage! We are a nation that shows the good, the bad and the ugly! We are morally superior because we have nothing to hide! We air it all out---we have an independent, free press that does NOT do the bidding of people in power to protect them, blah, blah, blah...

Show us the dang pictures of a dead OBL! Recruiting tool? Seriously? The only recruiting tool the perveyors of hate need are the schools the start these kids in very young teaching them a religion of hate, murder, anti-Israel, anti-America, glorifying death, martyrdom and suicide.

Do you really think pictures of a dead OBL is going to make them hate us more? Give me a break! I'm sick of the cow towing to the sensitivities of Islam! They are cowards and hypocrites! They can insult Jews and Christians all day long---but have a little insult dished their way? Somebody, lots of somebody's gonna die for it.

What a weak, pathetic theology that requires bombs, guns, swords and knives to defend its veracity!

I think there is political motivation behind every decision they make. You just never know what those motivations are.

It is the mood swings that bother me. They do what they are in the mood to do and they change their minds frequently.

I feel that the photo should be placed on President Obama's desk and all the senators and congressmen be given the opportunity to walk around and see the photo. Then they can tell their constituents that they saw the picture and it was a dead Bin Laden. Other than that, I do not believe the photo should be given to the media, simply for the reasons that were given by the White House.

Yea, that would work.

Scott Brown: Osama Bin Laden Picture I Saw Wasn't 'Authentic'

Once it became clear that Brown had not seen the pictures in question, the senator found himself having to do damage control.

"The photo that I saw and that a lot of other people saw is not authentic," said Brown in a one-sentence statement, according to the Boston Globe.

I don't need to see another gory picture. Really... I'm good with the Obama admin's claims about OBL being dead. As I said before - if Obama is lying about Osama being dead, then it's up to Osama to disprove the admin's claims. And if he's alive, he could do it very easily.

Meantime... enough gore. We're not ghouls.

But its ok to show pictures of American soilders in coffins coming home for the last time, its ok to show video of people jumping from the World Trade Center, its ok to show video of Daniel Pearl getting his head cut off while screaming in painful terror, its ok to show American soilders hanging dead and burned from a bridge.

I'm sorry Seascapes, but your a liberal hypocrite who spews radical left wing dogma without any concern for having an intellectual conversation that can be supported by actual facts or even fair opinions.

That evaluation maybe a bannable offense but you know, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.......

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, dismissed the need for proof. “If he’s not, let him produce a video to prove he’s not,” he told reporters in Doral, Fla. “Because he was pretty good at doing that once upon a time.”

However, after listening to what Lindsey Graham said about releasing the photos of Sadam's sons so that Iraq would be satisfied, I think that I am more inclined, now, to having Osama's photos published. After all, fighting Al-Qadea has been the mission and he was the head of that group.

I do remember many being satisfied after Sadam's son's photos were released.

All of this changing the story as to what happened, i.e., Osama armed/not armed, wife shot and killed/shot in leg, etc., is only fueling the fire of controversy.

Why does this President always have to have so many questions of doubt lingering after everything he does? It's like he carries a huge question mark hovering around him all the time. He gives the aura of mistrust at every step. Always making you feel uncomfortable. I don't like it.

scottie, pictures of closed coffins is not like a picture with only a half of a head and brains. Get real. The pictures taken by the public and given to the media can not be stopped by the President.

scottie calling me names is not necessary to post your view on political issues. You just might get a notice from Admin.
