Neighbor Dying
An older neighbor of ours who lives at the end of our street was recently diagnosed with cancer. We knew things were not good but did not realize how fast things were going bad.
We just found out he is in the hospital and not expected to live through tonight or tomorrow.
Please help me pray for him and his family. His name is Mr. Flowers.
He is quite the character. He used to drive around the neighborhood on his lawn tractor visiting everybody working in their yards. Then a summer or two ago a friend of his gave him a customized golf cart painted in the Tennessee Titans colors and with the Titans logos. It even has mag wheels. That became his new mode of transportation for visiting neighbors. It is going to be a sad summer not seeing him driving that cool ride up and down the street.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
