If It Were Up To Men...
The Hating The Holidays thread got me to thinking.
If it were up to men... what would the holidays be like. Now... to get an honest answer I have to lay out the scenario.
This is the scenario.
You are having Thanksgiving (or your holiday of choice) and there will be no women there. Just men. No women will be checking in to see "how it went". There will be no women to answer to if you didn't do this or didn't do that. It is all a bunch a men that get along and there is no female influence whatseover.
What would your Thanksgiving be like?
What would your Christmas be like?
Or... to boil it down to the real issue...
How would your holidays be different?

Well Santa would not be kissing anyone under the tree... at least not in the Hoover house.

I know one thing that would be different. We'd have a grand old time and end up whining about how we wish our wives were here.
Well... those of us who get along with our lives and like to spend time with them. I'm sure there would be some for whom it would take some time to reach that point.

Yes ma'am.
I know my dad & my 2 brothers would be piled up in front of the TV watching the game. I'm just not much of a sports person. If they're watching one and I sit there long enough I have about a 50/50 chance that I can get into it. But a game is nothing I'd ever do on purpose unless forced into by the crowd. But, then again, while they watch the game a nap might be nice.

Onion Dip (with belching)
Cokes
Beef Jerky
Popcorn
Oreos
Fritos
Bean Dip (with rude noises)
Twinkies

Make the Twinkies DEEP FRIED TWINKIES... and yeah... dead on. Looks great. Simple, straight forward and secondary to the actual getting together with friends & family.
But... after all those snack foods we would need to go and eat something solid later... or throw a brisket and/or some chickens on the pit while we snack and visit.
Yep. That sounds like good times.
