old song
anybody remember (or ever hear of) this?
He's the Oak, and I'm the ivy.
He's the Potter; I'm the clay.
He's the Oil; and I'm the vessel.
I'm the traveler; He's the Way.
I'm the flower; but He's the Fragrance.
I'm the candle, He's the Flame.
I’m the words, but He’s the music;
I'm the bride who takes His name.
That chorus has been on my mind today.
It's probably been more than 50 years since I've heard it so the words may not be completely correct.
