My wife stays at home now (she does have a 10 hour a week, weekend job until her ebay and other stuff begin making enough money). Her job was paying for the private schooling and daycare. Now she stays at home, teaches, and sews dresses for ebay.

I am reading some of the message board stuff on this article on MSN. Unbelievable the negative attitudes towards SAHM's! SOme people are really bitter that women do this.

My wife has never worked a full time job outside of the home. From time to time she has worked part time for a short period to give us a financial boost. Our kids have never been in daycare.

We learned to make do. God always provided. We don't have as many things as a lot of folks, but we have great kids and wonderful memories.

We don't regret our decision for her to be a stay at home mom at all.

Has anybody checked out the message board that is talking about the article? (You can get the message board on the article page.) I guess I am naive but I really didn't know that people were so ridiculously venemous about SAHM's. Very wierd that folks would care so much about what other people do.

We live in a wicked nation. Motherhood used to be something to aspire to.

I've seen it elsewhere. It is pretty bad. I don't understand why.
