st.john 5;19
Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
what say ye to this?

That the Son has no power of himself, that there is no trinity of equal persons. That the deity of Jesus gives the humanity of Jesus all his power and authority.
Matthew 28:18

Re: st.john 5;19
"the deity of Jesus" are you saying that there is such a thing?
Hummm, I never once read of that in the Scriptures.
Could you please site even one verse that clearly declares the 'deity of Jesus'.
There are numerous verses that declare him to be a man...but to my knowledge..there are none that declares him to be a deity.
Nor does'son of God' imply a deity.
The first man Adam was called a son of God.
The Saints are called a son of God....but none of these are deities.

There are MANY, but just to get a read on you, here is one, I'm interested to see how you explain it away. Not that I don't expect you to deny the scripture, but just want to see what method and school of thought your posting from.
1 Timothy 3:16 "great is the mystery of godliness GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH....."

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God
And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Word is Jesus.

1 Timothy 3:16 "great is the mystery of godliness GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH....."
How was God manifested? God's power was given unto Jesus Christ.
It doesn't say that Jesus Christ was God does it?
Jesus numerous times spoke to his Father...why would he do that if he was God?
Many complain how much nonsense the trinty is....and it is, but to claim that Jesus was God(deity) and then he prays to his God and Father is (IMO) just as much nonsense.
Jesus was given all power in heaven and in earth.
Matt 28:18 – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
The Apostles Healed Many
Acts 5:12-16
12And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
O.K. here we have power given unto both Jesus Christ and unto the apostles.
If Jesus is a deity...then so are the apostles.

God was manifest in the flesh, God was justified in the Spirit, God was seen of angels, God was preached unto the world..etc.
All of the things in Timothy 3:16 explain what GOD was.
Why would Jesus speak to God if he was God? Simple Bible answer
Philippians 2:6-8
John 3:34
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
Only Jesus had the Spirit without measure
You said IF Jesus is a deity? The Bible says Jesus IS DEITY
John 1:1-14
Revelation 1:8
Isaiah 9:6
Matthew 1:23

Ok thanks. So in short your manner of denying the deity of Christ is to deny the scriptures. Very similar to the universalist explaining away any scripture which is against their viewpoint.

You don't understand the incarnation nor dual nature, no wonder you have arrived at your conclusion, could it be descibred as "apostolic araianism"

Apparently you didn't read the rest of 1Tim 3:16, but you already helped us identify WHO...God.
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh,
Who? God. God was...so keep reading please about this God
God was justified in the Spirit
God was seen by angels
God was preached among nations,
God was believed on in the world,
God was received up into glory
Mind tell us when and how God was seen by angels and received up into glory?
BTW manifest God was manifest in the flesh. Not "God's power was given to someone else"

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
