Have you all heard about this?

What do you think?

Re: Burn Korans?

I'm having a little trouble understanding their "outreach" theory. Churches and pastors like this one would make Jesus roll over in his grave.

I guess the author didn't get the memo Jesus is not in a grave.

I applaude him speaking up against Islam, but don't think he is going about it in the right way.

What would be the right way?

And the author is wrong-- Islam DOES NOT consider Jesus Christ to be the SON of GOD.

Their deity has no son. They recognize Jesus Christ as one of the greatest prophets, with Muhammad being the last prophet of their deity.

I think this guy is definitely free to express his views, even in this manner.

I won't be joining him in expressing my disdain for that false religion in this manner. The idea is to win souls to Christ. This drives souls away-- and may I add, not just Muslim souls. In fact, because of his location he has probably shut the door that his church has to minister to countless thousands of non-Muslim Americans who find his behavior hateful and repulsive.

Re: Burn Korans?

His church is called "DOVE" World Outreach Center? Dove? Like "gentle" as a dove? What an idiot!

Sent an e-mail!

WWJD? Right, he would not burn a Koran. He would pray that they would find truth. What a horrible example you will display representing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I am ashamed of your prepared actions.

Re: Burn Korans?

They should take the pages and make toilet paper out of them and distribute them to the poor....no seriously...you think Muslims treat the bible any better?

That's what it was claimed. No I don't think we should do the same, but I find it unbalanced for everyone to whine about something like this and not about what Muslims and Muslim controlled governments do or allow in other nations to Christians. No bibles. No churches...yet Muslims want to plant one near ground zero in this nation?

These guys are wrong, but I would support holding seminars on Islam and let everyone know of the vast inequality Christians have in Islamic nations

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I'd say that those bifurcated garments being worn by the lady members of that church are the problem here. DUH!

Re: Burn Korans?

True story:

I once had a Koran....

and as Paul Harvey would say about the rest of the story......

it ended up in the kitchen trash can, and on the curb.

Total garbage. My intent was a comparative study. I got to Surah 5 and that was enough.

A much more level-headed approach!
