Jambo from Kenya!!
This is my first chance to be on AFF since getting to Kenya, and it's our last night here. I'm in the fabulous Norfolk hotel in Nairobi. We splurged for the last night, since we spent several not-so-nice nights in another place during all the ministry times. We have had a fantastic time, and all eleven have gotten along and remained Christians. LOL
We ministered in 8 schools, and in (I think) about 11 Love & Truth Churches, including the Bishop's on Sunday. It was so amazing to see God's presence move in those little buildings out in the rural areas. One church was about 9 by 11 feet and people crammed in and all over the outside. In that place, God's Spirit just swept in and overwhelmed us; it was SO powerful.
We were able to bless ten pastors with either a new keyboard that runs on AA batteries, or a new guitar. They people would just shout and run and jump when we gave them the instruments. It was very sweet.
At the Bishop's church on Sunday (main one), we were praying for the sick, and several were healed of headaches, stomach pain, etc. But there was one lady who had had a stroke and her face was paralyzed on one side and she was deaf in that ear. God completely healed her!!!! It was so awesome to witness. We had been prophesied that we would see miracles on this trip.
We did a two day safari and now we are in Nairobi, ready to fly out of here tomorrow night. We have one more ministry thing to do. We are taking medical supplies to a clinic here and seeing if they will let us pray for the sick. We're very excited about that. We thought we were going to do it in Eldoret, but never got a chance. We are expecting great things. However, the clinic conditions are horrible, so we need prayer covering.
My team have all been troopers! We had one lady fall getting off the van in Memphis before we ever flew and badly sprained her ankle. She has hobbled around everywhere, but was determined NOT to let it stop her. God used her in a great way in Tongues/Interpretation in one of the little churches. We had another gal whose grandmother died yesterday, so that was hard. But all in all, it's been fantastic. Thanks for all your prayers!!
