For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].
2 Corinthians 5:21

Thank God that my self-righteousness which was like filthy rags was stripped off me and placed on Christ. Also His righteousness was taken from Him and placed on me. Now, Jesus is clothed in my unrighteousness and sin and I am clothed in His righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30).

I have the righteousness of Christ. When God sees me, He doesn't see me in my sin, He sees me in His Son. I am "faultless to stand before His throne, dressed in His righteousness alone."
