Palestinian Case Against Israel is Faulty
Israel was established on a small portion of the British Mandate of Palestine. There never was nor has been an Arab country called "Palestine". The name Palestine came as a result of the Roman Empire changing the name of the region to erase any semblance of Israel identity because of the Jewish revolt in the 1st century and subsequent diaspora. The Romans wanted to remove the notion of the Jewish people that they would ever have a national identity ever again.
The mandate, confirmed by ther Laegue of Nations and reaffirmed by the United Nations, was the catalyst re-establishing th Jewish people in their ancient homeland. Jewish immigration and economic development attracted Arab migrationinto what would become Israel. That migration and Arab massacres of Jews led Britain to bar further Jewish return. This accounted for th so-called Arab majority in 1948 when Israel became a nation.
Currently Israeli Arabs and Jews from European, African and Middle Eastern ethnicities demonstrates that Israel is a much more just and equitable society. Israel upholds the rights of religious minorities including Christians and Muslims, unlike Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran. Under Muslim control Christians and Jews could not worship in East Jerusalem. Under Israeli control sonce 1967 all three major religions have been afforded free access to their holy sites to visit and worship. Israel has even allowed the Muslims to administrate the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, sinc that time.
Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan. They have continually offered peace to the Palestinians over the past 20 years and given the Palestinians the West Bank and Gaza to self-rule only to be met with rejections, violence and acts of terrorism.
The liberal media's continual attempts to portray Israel as the villain time and again when issues arise in the Holy Land fool a lot of people. Those that know the real history and what the agenda of the United Nations and the Arab world is aren't affected by the anti-Israel bias that proliferates the media, liberal politicians and the world community.
