Desperate Need for Prayer - Someone Please Take Me on Your Heart

I know God is fighting my battles, but I am trying to take on too much myself. Please help me pray for those who are despitefully using me. I am one person in over 6 billion but I am important to God. Please pray for me that I won't totally lose confidence in church people who are deceiving, lying, and stealing. The love of many has waxed cold...I don't want His love to wax cold in my heart.

HELP!!!

Dear TalkLady,

You are important to God. When we are idealistic and expect Christians to be Christians all the time we set ourselves up for disappointment. People will let you down...this is a fact. What is also a fact is that Jesus will be there to catch you when you fall.

When I was going through the worst trials of my life...I begged God to not let me get bitter and hardened. God could not do this without my help. I had to forgive and let some things go.

Forgive the church people you associate with for their shortcomings, knowing that you have some of your own. The Bible tells us to pray for those who despitefully use us...it helps! It changes you whether it changes them or not.

The thing you need to be careful of, you mentioned that you try to take on too much. This may be a co-dependency issue or just a boundary issue that you need God's help with. When you try to take care of everything...you fail at most of it because you cannot focus. Prioritize and say "No" to the things you can't or don't have the time or passion to do.

If you expect perfection from yourself and others you will continually be let down...I know because I used to be the same way. Let up on yourself and ease up on them. Take care of the Mary side of you and stop doing "things" and start praying and building relationship.

I don't know you, but I will pray for you that God help you to see things the way he sees things. If you give up because of other people's shortcomings then the devil has won a victory over you! Trust in Jeheveh Nissi...the train of his victories fills the temple.

Thanks, Rhoni, I realized after I posted this that I suppose I put in the wrong area of the forum....I really appreciate your response. Pray for me because sometimes I just want to run away from "church" and never look back, but I do not want to run away from Jesus Christ. I want to run TO Him.

Before you make any decisions...just stand. Right now there are too many things pressing on you to enable you to make a decision in your best interest. Just like in our families, we fuss, fight, and disappoint each other...but we still love and need each other.

Is it possible to get away for a week and go visit a friend or family member that is spiritual and take the time to pray together and just be...take some time for self care?

This week I will take some time to pray especially for your need. Fall into the arms of God and rest.

I am praying for you. Remember that people are imperfect but God is not. He will not fail you. When people let you down let the Holy Spirit be your comforter.

Thanks to all of you who are praying for me....I just need some peace...some rest from the constant storms. God is able. I know that. Pray for my husband. He is very weary and not "at himself." Help us to start praising God for deliverance from this. Help us to look at Him and not at the storm.

Thanks so much. No, Sis. Rhoni, there is no way I can take off...It's work, work, work, for me. I did take off today, but it was to "take care of personal business.".....God bless and I know that God is bigger than the storm.
