I registered as a republican

I think the first time I registered I registered republican. After that though I had been an independent for as long as I can remember...my whole voting age.

Thank you liberals.

I remember my late father, whose family came through the Great Depression,
saying, "We used to be democrats until we were ashamed to be".

That was many years ago. He's been gone 20 yrs and if he could see how far
we have come, he would really be blown away.

But no matter how good or how bad things get, it will change. Men die and
are removed from the scene
. Dad came up with this quote many years ago,
" TIME changes everything, except those things which are eternal". So we
just need to "build our hopes on things ETERNAL, and HOLD TO GOD'S UNCHANGING
HAND!

Hugs,

Falla39

Re: I registered as a republican

I vote Republican, because the Dems are so crooked. However, the GOP isn't far behind, and I don't have much faith in either group. I personally would like to see a real third option come to the table. As it stands right now, if we vote for a third party, we are really just voting for the Dems.

Re: I registered as a republican

I voted for LBJ for President. He was a Democrat.

I voted for Scoop Jackson in a democratic primary election many years ago when he was running for President.

Other than that I guess I've voted for Republican presidential candidates ever since 1960 when I voted for Nixon over Kennedy.

It's not so much that I'm a Republican, it's that they are usually more conservative than the Democrats.

KENNEDY was far more conservative than near all of today's democrats.
