We Dont Know What Will Happen
Well BO and the liberals have their piece of legislation. But besides items like preventing insurance companies from refusing ppl with prexisting conditions, raising taxes, 32 million ppl having access to healthcare the didn't before, and maybe a few other features most folks don't have a clue what is going to happen with this new healthcare bill. Its over 2400 pages long. That's a lot of room to tuck in all sorts of special items, rules, special favors, etc.
Between now and November, this piece of legislation will be examined with a fine tooth comb. When the public, who already by majority oppose this new law, get more details and more time to learn what is in the law, BOs and the Dems favorability will decline even more.
We do know this: simple principles of economics tell us that we can't be $14 trillion in debt and then add almost $2 trillion more and maintain viability. I believe the economy will remain stagnate, unemployment will remain at this level or grow, and the deficit will sink to new record lows. The prospects of a historic turnover in November are possible. As a conservative that is the silver lining I see, along with the propects of BO being a one-term president.
During the election I remember ppl justifying voting for BO because of their disdain for Bush. Others voted for BO because of McCain or Palin. Others voted for Ron Paul b/c he was more conservative, others had other reasons for their vote against the GOP. Some even said it took a Jimmy Carter to get a Ronald Reagan. I tried to encourage ppl to look at the issues, look at the state of affairs, to look at BOs history, his associations, his track record, etc to no avail. I warned that the 2-4 years of total control of the government and 4 years of a BO presidency could do plenty of damage to our country that even if a Reaganesqe president emerged, it wouldn't be worth it.
Elections have consequences. Too many American voters don't think beyond the rhetoric, the persona in front of the camera and the cult of personality. I'm afraid America as we have known it will never be the same. That's tragic, because it didn't have to happen.

I'm afraid America is going to repeat the fall of Rome.

Re: We Dont Know What Will Happen
Two things that I believe withold the judgment of God upon America: the strength of the church here and our loyalty and commitment to Israel. I don't believe that sin will go unpunished, and our sins are many. We have sown many seeds of unrighteousness and we will reap what we have a sown. I don't want America to fall anymore than anyone else. I am not a pessimist either. I am a realist and what I see and the signs and directions we are headed in all point to impending disaster.

What's the last nation God judged harshly? Russia, China, Iran...? Seems to me the more sin filled and less christian nations have bad things happen to them not any more frequently than the U.S...

Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, the Soviet Union, the entire Muslim world, primarily Arab states, Palestine, Haiti, etc. Seems plenty of judgment in the form of natural disasters, economic hardship, political unrest, and low quality of life. Seems they struggle more than USA does.

Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
It matters little to most what the word says.
