Re: Why " magic hair" doesn't and never bothered m
Hmmm... I know lots of preachers who are bothered by "magic hair"... you know, the kind that grows or changes over night. This type of "magic hair" may include perms and dyes, and generally always includes weaves, extensions, ponytail holders with a pony tail built in, toupes, and wigs...
Sadly, not too many that I know seem overly bothered by the false idea that uncut hair retains some kind of special bargaining power with God, though...

I'd be happy to have some magic hair.
Then again, I'd be happy just to have hair.

Not for real... but I have seen repeated uses and attempts to invoke magic through the laying on of women's hair. I have heard this preached for years and am frustrated by the way this nonsense keeps coming back.
At one time my old pastor had angrily denounced such "nonsense" when it first crossed his path. Now, because of the number of people close to him that are actually preaching it, he just sits there and waves his hand with a wiggle as if to say "Amen" when it comes up.

"Magic Hair" the doctrine I have seen and heard therefore I guess I am in a place to either be bothered or not. Listen to some of LS's preaching and you will become acquainted like the rest of us so that you can formulate an opinion

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

"Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer,
the strife ceaseth".
In my three score and ten years, I had never heard of the term "magic hair" until
I heard it on this forum. Someone started a "firestorm" with that term and a lot of
wood has been thrown on it. Many "teachings" have come and gone through the
many, many years our family has been in Pentecost. Some embraced those "strange"
teaching, BUT those who chose to stay in the word of God, did not embrace them.
They didn't throw a lot of wood on those that did and much of those teachings died
out. Just as a fire dies out when fuel is not added to keep it going.
I have an idea what has caused much of it to continue and why. I'm just not ready to say just now. Time is going to tell because TRUTH will prevail. Time will tell the real story!
While my family (Grandmother Lizzie, my mother, me. our three daughters and their
daughters have not cut their hair, (especially after receiving the Holy Ghost) we have
never heard the term "magic hair". Believing that it is bibical to let our hair grow uncut,
has nothing to do with believing that our hair is "magic" in any sense of the word.
