I'll have to go back to that. I kind of skipped over Caprica in favor of Stargate: Universe and was disappointed. Got a link?
Sure, the first few episodes run somewhat slow since they are all setup but it switches into high gear with the episode "There is another sky" that goes into depth in the virtual world
Also the series take on religion is really interesting, its as if the greek/roman religion stayed as the premier religion and it lasted into modern times.

Are you saying you were disappointed in Caprica or Stargate Universe? I have yet to watch more then a few minutes of Caprica (and never really got into Battle Star Galactica either) but am VERY surprised at how good, at least potential wise, Stargate Universe is.

I really enjoy SGU, I was a Stargate fan... Atlantis not so much. My only gripe with Stargate is that no one could stay dead.

The screenplay and cinematography of SGU seems to have more in common with the new BSG that it does SG or SGA. It has alot of potential nonetheless.
I like Caprica so far, but the mix of sci-fi with an almost 1950-ish culture is a bit off-putting. The backgroung of how the cylons got their start is intriguing.
Oh - other gripe about Stargate Universe.... no evil bad guys. No Guaold, Ori, Wraith or other evil alien miscreants bent on enslaving/eating/annihilating humans.
A good scifi must have evil bad guys... who must remain evil bad guys. Not like Star Trek:
Original Series - Klingons = Evil Bad Guys
STNG - Klingons = Misunderstood good guys.

Even the BORG and Species 8472 (which started out REALLY nasty but were then immediately humanized when they took the appearance of people at Starfleet Headquarters), were turned into merely misunderstood beings.
I really like Stargate Universe because there have not been any specific villains introduced (yet) other then a number of shady people. No English speaking aliens who resemble Miles O'Brien from Star Trek or those living in one of countless medieval looking villages.
