The Oblahmah administration is closing the CARS program, effective Monday evening. All paperwork from the dealerships must be turned in by that time also.
This program, originally designated to be complete in November and cost 1 billion dollars is now defunct after just under a month and about 3 billion dollars later.
But hey, he's going to start a health care reform package that's certain to go much smoother...

The program offers up to $4,500 to shoppers who trade in vehicles getting 18 mpg or less for a more fuel-efficient car or truck. Dealers pay the rebates out of pocket, then must wait to be reimbursed by the government. But administrative snags and heavy paperwork have created a backlog of unpaid claims.
Schienberg said the group's dealers have been repaid for only about 2 percent of the clunkers deals they've made so far.
Over 400 dealers in NY, hundreds in PA and many across the country are dropping out of cash for clunkers b/c they are owed so much $. The process to get the money is taking so long, dealerships are stopping to offer the program for fear they won't get the money. One dealer who is owed $700,000 states he fears he will never see the money. So far only 2% of the money earmarked for the program has been distributed.

If they don't have the paperwork submitted by Monday night, they really won't see their money.

After the initial $1 billion which Congress approved for the program was quickly committed, Congress swiftly approved an additional $2 billion before leaving for its August recess.
So here is my question?
When's the revolution?
