Re: 200 days of experimentation

A tale of two quotes:

"They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way!"

"If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard".

The first, of course, is a memorable Sean Connery line from "The Untouchables" on how to "get" Al Capone.

The second is a quote from White House aide Jim Messina to Democratic Senators on how the Administration plans to deal with those who oppose their health care reform plan. That, of course, is the Obama Way.

Congratulations to the Hope and Change crowd for bringing Chicago thug politics to a nation weary of business as usual in Washington. It's change we have to believe in...if we know what's good for us.

So Obama will encourage revenge on people that oppose his healthcare plan and speak up?

Punch back time. They put a black Republican in the hospital in St louis yesterday.

Re: 200 days of experimentation

Quote:
President Barack Obama said Friday his administration had saved the US economy from catastrophe and the worst of the recession may be over, after a surprise drop in the unemployment rate.
"This morning we received additional signs that the worst may be behind us," said Obama in remarks in the White House Rose Garden after new figures showed the jobless rate slipped to a better than expected 9.4 percent in July.
In July, the number of unemployed persons was 14.5 million. The
unemployment rate was 9.4 percent, little changed for the second
consecutive month. (See table A-1.)

Total employment is down 247,000 from last month. We have more uneployed than ever. If you are unemployed and take a temp job of a part time nature, you are Not considered unemployed.
